Long arm quilting machine advice

Does anyone have a Bailey long arm machine - like the Pro17? and if so, how do you like it, and can it handle a king size quilt?
Thanks,
Laynie60

Welcome to the quiltingboard. I have a longarm, but it is a Gammill. I have never done a king-size on it, but will probably get to one next year. I have had it for a year and have probably used it for 30-40 hours (sewing time).

I haven't used it for the past couple of weeks though because my sewing room was stacked all around/under/on it - now we are getting things put back together and I am hopefully going to 'find' my longarm next week. lol

I don't have one, but it usually depends on the size of the frame not the size of the machine.

I don't have one, but on their website, they offer packages with king size frames.

i have a juki with only a 9" harp and i did a king quilt on that... so you won't have difficulty at all with the 17" throat. i've only heard good things about bailey's and i'm thinking of moving up to that myself.

I have a Bailey 17" and a majestic frame. It is the largest frame offered by the Grace company and that is why I got it. I like my quilts to drape over my bed, so really for a queen bed, I need a king size quilt. To be honest, I have not set up my contraption yet. It all arrived this week and I will be putting it together tomorrow. The fame is big enough for a king, and I am certain that 17" of space on my bailey will be adequate. After all, the majestic does not take machines over 18", so I am pretty sure that doing a king size will not be an issue.

I quilted a king size quilt on my Bernina Frame (12' long) and my standard size Bernina Aurora 440 with a throat of about 9".

I have a Gammil with a 12 foot frame and routinely do king-sized quilts...
