Hi
I want to purchase some singer 127 long bobbins, for under 30 dollars with shipping. I'd like to get about 30-50 bobbins. Where would be a good place? They are also called Vibrating shuttle, and here is a link talking about it, for the ones that aren't enlightened yet ;) http://treadleon.net/sewingmachinesh...vsshuttle.html thanks |
I am curious too

Have you heard of Vibrating shuttles? It is the same thing.

Boat shuttle and Vibrating shuttle are two different things.

The cheapest I found was 30 for about $33 with shipping. Here is the website:
http://www.sew4less.com/product/1651/more_info http://www.jhittlesewing.com might have them for less, but you have to sign up for their emails in order to get access to their catalog. I'm not sure their catalog has a search option either. You could also try http://www.shoppersrule.com . If you find the right bobbins, you can submit the price you want to pay and they will either okay it or counter. You could wait for a free shipping week to eliminate that cost too. |
Perhaps they are different things, quiltingbee, but my Mum and I always called them boat shuttles!

My grandmother and I called them bullet shuttles. I got a big pack from my local sewing machine dealer. He ordered them for me and I paid about 10 dollars.

Thank you, those links were really helpful.

Had never seen this before....Thanks!

I have never heard of them.

Hmm.
Seems like it is about half and hal on people who have heard of them and people who haven't. Most people when they think old sewing machines think the long bobbins. |
