Does anyone have the Empress Quilter 18" longarm or the Queen Quilter 18" longarm?

I am told they are made by the Tin Lizzie company, but are priced less.

Any information would be appreciated.

I have the Queen Quilter18 and yes it is by Tin Lizzie. I have had mine now for 2 years. One thing you should know, that it does not stop when you stop, but comes to such a slow stitch, it is like you are stitching off. I just moved my center box down to the very right on the handle and with a flick of my thumb, I'm able to shut it off, if I need to stop for any reason...I love my longarm and the price made it possible to own one....I may upgrade sometime, but for now Queeny quilts just fine...and I got the wooden frame, which I like better, as I find that there is less vibration JMHO......The Empress is just a step above and will eventually replace the Queen, but is pretty much the same...the difference is that it now has the delay if you are doing ruler work, other than that, it is the same.

Hello. I just purchased an Empress. It has been to the shop for repairs once (electronics messed up), and I may have to take it in again (it was smoking). Have you had any/many problems, and how well has your shop/Tin Lizzie responded to them. I did not expect to have problems and don't know if I want to keep running to the shop (60 miles away) every few weeks. I've only had the machine since mid-July. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the Queen Quilter and nothing but problems. The tension for the last two years is always needing adjustment and now just today when I stop quilting the needle keeps going and I have to reach to the back to depower the machine....meanwhile there are 6 or 8 or 15 goofy stitches that I have to take out. Could be the toggle switch is bad and it might be something in the wiring into the control box because when I wiggle the wires the machine stops stitching. And, of course my warranty just ran out.
