Longarm quilting

I'm a new longarm quilter with a Grace Inspira frame and a Juki 2010Q machine. I have a SureStitch Regulator as well. I have tons of questions about the little glitches I'm running into. Is there a group or thread devoted to LAQ? Quilters are such a wealth of information and I need all the help I can get!!!
Thanks

Donnacee

There's this thread. http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...re-t50450.html A bunch of others too, but this seems to be the place for general info.

This is merely terminology, but the Juki is not a longarm. Longarms typically have 18" or more of throat space, while the Juki (if I remember correctly) is about 8.5". Some of the problems and techniques will be the same for the Juki and for a longarm, but many will be different. You may have better luck rephrasing your title to ask for information about quilting with the Juki on a Grace Inspira frame. There are lots of YouTube videos that may help you, and I think there's a yahoo group devoted to quilting on the Gracie, as well as several others for Juki users.

You might want to join the homequiltingsystems group on groups.yahoo.com . It's a large, active group of quilters with a wide variety of frame setups, including ones like yours. As dunster mentioned, yours is really a shortarm setup. Midarms run about 13"-18", and longarms 18" and up.

I have the same machine on a grace start right frame for several months now. Yell if I can help you.
