Someone posted a blog which showed how to make cute Christmas Tree Napkins. I think they were made by cutting the fabric in a circle. Need help finding the source or if someone has the directions, would you please share. Thanks!!!

All you need is a half circle. I made a circle using a pin. some string and a pencil. Make a circle about 12 inches across. After you make the circle on paper, cut it out. Then fold in half and cut on the fold.
Use the half circle pattern for your fabric. I used two different fabrics for front and back. I found out that if you are using a pattern that has direction like trees make sure to place the pattern on so flat line is up on design. Cut a front and a back for each napkin. Then right sides together, stitch around them leaving an opening for turning. Turn right side out and then stitch around the outside edge, closing your litle opening as you sew. Voila! A Christmas napkin. I will try and find some pics of ones I did and post. I also sewed little lines on to know where to fold and this helped keep the two pieces together better. |
The directions are good but long winded at E.L if you know what I mean. Once you make one the next ones will come a lot faster. Simply put two fabrics right sides together, draw a circle, cut out the circle and then cut the circle in half. That makes 2 napkins, sew two pcs together and leave an opening for turning, turn r/s out and sew opening and just keep going. Have fun

The basic concept is very simple. The only tricky part is deciding where the folding point is. |
I posted one. Check out this site.
