I need to make a pine tree-tried to use a flying geese (goose?) pattern, but it isn't a true rectangle. It needs to be 4 1/4" wide and 3" tall. I figured out how to do the trunk (after I made got the 1/4" seam allowance right!! Any and all help is appreciated! Thank you all soooo much!!

Does it need a trunk?

Are your dimensions just the tree in the block or the entire block?

it will have a trunk-it is 3/4" finished

Is the 4 1/4" wide and 3" tall the finished size?

sounds like something you could paper piece.

You can sketch this on graph paper making it the size you need. Don't forget the seam allowance.

This is a WH I made from a Norwegan pattern a few years ago. Perhaps you can spread out the "branches" to make it wider.
