I hope this is the right place to post this. I went to a maple fesitval on Sunday and this quilt was there. No name or pattern name and would love to make this. It is hard to tell but the center piece is bigger (not all squares). Does anyone know where I can purchase this pattern from?

Don't know the pattern name but it sure is pretty.

Where the big squares meet it is a nine patch, looks like strips with with white squares are sewn in different lengths to form the big squares. It's a simple pattern but I don't know the name of it.

A variation of a Irish Chain?
|
It looks like courthouse steps, a variation of a log cabin block. maybe it's a single irish chain.

Very pretty quilt!

I thought it was in Eleanor Burn's Quick Trip Book, but it's not. Same idea. Know I've seen it somewhere - just strips with squares. I know, it was in a magazine and you pieced it all the way across, one horizontal strip at a time. Don't have the magazine now. Sorry

The block (the white X with 4 color sides) is a Chimneys and Cornerstones block. The sashing (the wide piece between the X blocks) uses 9-patches for cornerstones. Here's a Quilter's Cache's directions for Chimneys and Cornerstones: http://www.quilterscache.com/C/Chimn...onesBlock.html
Scratch that - just realized the center block is a different size on the chimneys and cornerstones block. |
From the way the strips inside the blocks are cut and laying I'd say its a Courthouse Steps.
