looking for pattern for "arrows" quilt
I recently saw a darling baby quilt. It had blocks of 4 arrows, pointing in different directions.
It was of 4 primary colors, the center of the block was a four patch. The next round were like flying geese, pointing all four directions. Have you seen this pattern? I have googled and did a tutorial search and come up empty handed for this block. Jean |
Here's a link. It's probably not the one you are looking for but it is cute.
Scroll down a wee bit. http://www.etsy.com/listing/92887572...s-reserved-for |
That would be very cute.

If this is the quilt you're looking for, the design was inspired by Follow the Arrows, the cover quilt from the Fall 2009 issue (#105) of Quick Quilts Magazine (p. 26).

Neither of those, but both are cute. I think if I got out some fabric, I could figure it out, but a pattern or picture would help.
four patch in center and arrows point away from the center. |
I purchased a pattern from the blog site called "A little bit biased" she made an arrow quilt for her son. Its really a cute pattern -don't know if that is the one you are looking for. I do remember seeing a free pattern for an arrow quilt recently but I cannot remember where. Good luck.

How about this one? http://www.flickr.com/photos/desertquilter/5405697253/

This one? If 2 of the smaller blocks were turned around, it would have a 4-patch and all arrows pointing out.

Drafted my own arrow block
1 Attachment(s)
After a lot of looking on my own and with the help of board members, I was unable to come up with the block I had in mind. So with the help of graph paper, I made my own.
It is a four patch in the center, flying geese around. The flying geese have a 1 1/2" strip added to each end to make the arrow point correctly. It measures 8 1/2" unfinished. I thank all that helped, I did find some cute arrow quilts with your help. |
That looks great!! That will make a nice quilt!

i like the block you came up with. Lots of cute ideas from others as well.

There is one that Anitia Grossman Solomon did for Quiltmaker magazine I think in 2011. Also on this forum she commented on it so maybe you can still find it. It is called Anitia's Arrowhead and was a wonderfully easy technique. If you got the colors right I think this might work for you
