I am looking for a braid pattern. It is not the Peggy Sue's Braids from Quilter's Cache. I don't remember the name of it. You start sewing your 6" strips on from the bottom and work up till you have it long enough and then you start another column. Anyone got any ideas? I don't even have a picture to show you.

Is it the french braid? I know there's been pictures, etc. about this on the board, try doing a search for french braid or braid.

It might be a variation of the french braid. I don't remember it having the word french in the title.

ReRe this is an excellent site ... Pioneer Braid is the one you are looking for. Don't worry when a braid pattern calls for a triangle at the beginning. The concept is the same <wave> |
Just thought I'd let everyone know I found the pattern I was looking for and THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all your help.

Omak hit the nail on the head when she mentioned the Pioneer Braid. that is exactly the one I was looking for. Once I get to it I can sew it now. Gonna use my batiks to make it with.
