I am searching for a quilt block pattern to make a submarine quilt for my ex-submariner DH

I know I saw a submarine in one of the foundation pieced books. I did a google search and it looks like it is in the 365 foundation quilt blocks book. Maybe your local library has it that you can borrow it?

There might be others - I'm sure there are but that's the only one I thought of right off the bat.

yep here is what is says about the 365 book
"It’s quiltmaking made as simple as paint-by-numbers! With a new method called foundation piecing, you just follow a numerical sequence to stitch fabric onto a foundation. Even the smallest pieces meet precisely, quickly, and accurately. With 365 projects, you could make one every day of the year. They’re organized month-by-month, so you could make a patriotic quilt with the July blocks; a Thanksgiving quilt in November; a Christmas quilt with the December blocks; or pretty floral quilts with each month’s flowers. (There are also some whimsical designs such as the yellow submarine that marks the day the Beatles came to America.) Photos of quilts made with blocks for each month accompany the complete instructions for the entire foundation piecing process.nn"

We are on the same page. I do not want a cartoon submarine, or a yellow one. But for me the pattern needs to be simple. I am hoping a quilter that designs patterns will have an idea.
