I am looking for instructions for a quilt as you go project that does NOT have seperate sashing pieces. The back is cut larger than the batting. After the top of the block is finished, the extra backing material is used to join the blocks together and to create the border between the blocks. Can anyone find a tutorial for joining the blocks? Thanks.

I've seen it, I think it was on Youtube. Try doing a search. There's also a lady who sells a template set for cutting it who has a video on Youtube.

It is Fun and Done. You cut the backing larger than the quilt block and batting then quilt the block and connect by pulling the backing to the front and connecting the blocks then fold the backing over each block and stitch down. The only draw back is you have the one seam that connects the blocks togather to hold the blocks togather. Mine is pulling apart because I made my quilt larger than the pattern so it has more stress on the seams. Next time I will use a smaller stitch when connecting the blocks togather.
Fun and Done uses two rulers, one is 7 1/2 in.sq. and the other is 9 1/2 in. with a cutout in the middle to match the 7 1/2 in sq.
The above tutorial is the same method just a larger block.
