If you click on one of the fabrics, look just below where it lists how many yards are available. If you see a red SP that stands for special purchase. It may or may not be a brand name fabric, and even if it is a brand name it could be a lessor quality due to several different reasons.
This is why you are not seeing a manufacturer's name :wink:

I have found some really nice tone on tone fabric at Walmart.. most tone on tone is heavier due to the nature of the process. I have laundered it, put it in a couple of totes that have been used and abused, washed a lot and it has held up well... So I have stuck with that because it is much less expensive.

Some of their solids are a bit flimsy, but work well in fusible applique, I have used other quilting fabric and once washed the weave has tightened nicely, they get a bad rep but they do have some really nice fabrics, too :D:D:D

Thanks so much amma, I really hadn't thought about the weave tightening up when washed. That's a big help. :thumbup: I know, many folks do complain about their fabrics, but we all shop where we chose to or can afford. I would go there more often, but we're only down the mountain that way maybe once a month. I'll definitely look closer next trip! :-)

I should say it shrinks to a point...I have seen some fabric in all of the shops that was pretty flimsy and I don't know if it would work for all of them :D:D:D

My favorite tone on tone fabrics is Robert Kaufman's Fusions line, specifically Fusions 7 (their #5573). They have a new color called "Vanilla" that looks like it would be the color you are looking for.

Go to www.webfabrics.com and look up Fusions to see all the colors, then go to www.quiltshops.com to see who has it on sale.

This is a very high quality fabric, and I use it in all my quilts as my blenders because it is so beautiful.

I think it is Moda marble prints. They are sort of like batic but more subtle. I really like them for areas where you want it to look like a solid from a distance, but close up there is a variation which gives the quilt some sparkle.

These are beautiful fabrics. Will be looking for a place to buy these.
