I am going to try to make fabric flowers for a wedding/shower.
I really don't want to spend a heck of a lot on the material, so anyone have any suggestions besides the local Salvation Army? Thanks. |
You could reuse fabric from discarded blouses and dresses. Maybe older summer clothes that are out of style.

Our local curtain shop sells bundles of offcuts, mainly sheers and satin-type stuff...that may be a useful source. Or as Cherylynne suggested, old clothing.
|
I don't think I have any old clothing that would be useful. Fall is the theme of the wedding, she is mostly thinking Thanksgiving colors. I have no dresses and all my tops are a cotton tshirt type material. Couldn't use it to make flowers.

You might post a note in the Bu, Sell, Trade section here, and say what you are willing to pay or trade for. Lots of nice quilters here

Do you have a WalMart near you? Quilt quality isn't essential for shower flowers, & their prices won't break the bank.
