Looking for Thread opinions
Okay, I know there are lots & lots of different threads out there but I am looking for those that have used Connecting Threads Essential PRO Polyester Cones. I have been using Superiors Bottom Line in all my machines for bobbin thread, it is a 60 wt polyester, and the Essential Pro is a 70wt Polyester. I'm thinking of changing to the Essential Pro for my bobbin thread, it is a bit cheaper and has about 300 more yards on it's cone. Has anyone had any bad experiences or even good things to say about it before I go & order a number of cones?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts. |
I have used the essential pro thread and like it. Having said that, how picky is your machine? I would order a single cone and see how both you and your machine like it!

I have ordered from Connecting Threads at least four times. I am very happy with the essentials. Sews nice, not much lint, and so many color choices. I am happy with them.

I've used it in my longarm with no problems, top and bottom.

My Voyager handles Glide 60wt polyester thread fine, with only very occasional shredding, while the Connecting Thread 70wt poly breaks. I got only one cone of the CT thread to try out, and I'm glad I did.

My Tin Lizzie quilting machine doesn't like Connecting Threads.

I am using it now for the first time on my Viking18x8 and I like it just fine.

I use it on my FW, Kenmore, Pfaff and Handi Quilter. Use it on top and bottom and does just fine. Buy a spool or two to try out, if it works for your machine than it is a nice savings on thread.
