Looking for tute on 30 x 40 quilt that needs NO BINDING.

I believe I saw the tute on this site a couple of weeks ago...anyway it was right before our daughter's wedding, thought I saved it, but can't find it.

The general instructions were to sew the right sides together like an envelope, leaving a little opening for turning.

Here is where I need help. You were to miter the corners of the 40" fabric so that when you turned it right-side-out, the border was ready to be sewn down.

Has any one done that? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

What fun. When my daughters were having babies I made dozens of receiving blankets. Just made them 42" square and serged the edges.....they loved them because they were big. These are even cuter! Great gift idea. Who the heck thinks up all these neat tricks?

I've made three these last two weeks with spit rags to match. They make a nice gift and go together really quick.
