I can't remember who was having a problem with their thread bunching up on the bottom side of their sewing....BUT as I was trying to finish something last night, I had the same problem. I kept changing the tension and even took the bobbin mechanism out and put it all back together. I said words that would have caused my DD to start a prayer vigil for me if she had heard.
Finally I realized the bobbin I was using was thicker than the ones I usually use. It was the first I had used from a new pkg. and I didn't realize they were not the same size. When I changed back to the flatter one, everything was fine. You might check that. |
yep, incorrect bobbins in my Janome have cause me problems, too!
great point! |
Oh, I hate it when you buy a set of bobbins at the store, bring them home, and then they don't fit in your machine. But now that I have 3 machines, they are more than likely to fit in one of them!!!

I bought a box of bobbins..........all wound, guess what, can't get them to unwind :(

Ruth, I've had that happen, too. If you notch the thread, it seems like you lose a whole lot. I don't know why or how they do it that way

Great tip.. Singer man also said it was a must to use the same type thread in bobbin..
Always up for a tip ! Thanks ! Ellen |
Hi there, It was me having all the problems with the thread bunching up.
It wasnīt the bobbin size though as I only have the three that came with this machine. what casued the problem was in the computer brain, somehow a couple of the minus numbers had got switched, probably me in a temper. Have made it better but its still not quite right, I have cleaned it., changed the needle, even held it upside down in case there was something gotton underneath. Think I will take it for a service. That should be fun here in Spain trying to explain... LOL, he probably only deals with the hand wheeled type. Some of them come out of the ark :D However they do the job better than mine at the moment. Elle |
Hi Loretta, Havenīt given it to the service man yet as I go to our Sewing Club tomorrow and there is one of our ladies who is pretty clued up on things like that in case it is something really stupid.
Got my trusty other machine, more of a dumper truck but it works. LOL Elle |
