A month or so ago I read about a very easy fast quilt top to make. I "thought " I would remember how to make it, because it was sooo easy, BUT with the old brain getting too many cobwebs, I have forgotten important parts. Here's the part I do remember and maybe someone can help me with the rest. You sew jelly roll strips together end to end until you have one VERY long. strip. Then, you fold that in half and sew along the long side and continue to fold and sew the long until you get the right size quilt top width. The part that I didn't remember is the part on how to keep the seams from lining up when folding in half. Thanks in advance :P

here is one.

there is also a video of this quilt = with a group of ladies all making them at the same time. Maybe someone has that one marked.

I did a search for Fast Jelly Roll Quilt and found lots of links on this board. Take a look.

You cut 20" off the first piece and then sew your long strip. This will stagger your seams in each row.

Here is the video. It's called the Jelly Roll Race 1600.

I've been hoarding jelly rolls and plan to make a Queen, with no borders, based on the tute posted on this board. I estimate the strips, sewn together, will be as long as my backyard. lol.

One thing the videao doesn't show is that when you get to the end, you cut the loop. lol. I watched it twice before I decided I didn't understand it. Then I read the tute on the board and slapped myself with a great big DUH!
