Put those comfy walking shoes on & bring your pocketbook... there's lots to see on three floors --retros, brights, batiks, hand dyes; even jewelry with quilt designs! and a few longarm demos. I was amazed & surprised by all the original designs and all the books!!! and measuring tools and mats! lots of antique quilts used as backgrounds.....gorgeous!! bring your camera!
There are also other vendors on Route 30 east @ the Continental Inn--lots to see there, too [on two floors]
Have fun!

Here are a few pics from Lancaster AQS show. It didn't seem to have as many quilts as there was at the Host Resort in the past, and the layout seemed awkward. But some of them were pretty amazing, see what you think. Sorry, they are all sideways, but you can still get the idea.

I got back this evening from the Lancaster Quilt Show at the Continental Inn. I had never been to a quilt show and thorougly enjoyed it. It wasn't too overwhelming for me.I read on the QB that there is a quilting show on Somerset PA. Doyou know when it is? I only live a half hour away.

leevenora 03-17-2012 12:23 AM

Wish I lived closer. Such eye candy.

doodledo 03-17-2012 03:02 AM

I am so jealous! Wish I could have went. Jackiemc, you sound to be pretty close to me. If you find out about the show in Somerset let me know.

Was there yesterday, it was my first time attending the show. Had a great time and spent lots, glad I don't have to hide my purchases. Next year I might go for a couple of days would have liked to visit some of the stores and other event in the area.

gingergrandma 03-17-2012 03:27 AM

I was also at the AQS show yesterday with 3 of my sisters and a friend. Very enjoyable. After show went fabric shopping. I am now broke. But it was well worth it.
