I will be in Louisville, KY for several days next week and was wondering if anyone could let me know about the LQS in the area? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Oh you have to go to my little LQS :) It is about 20 miles just outside Louisville but worth the drive. They have TONS of Civil War and 30s fabrics. They are The Gathering Room: http://www.gatheringroomquiltshop.com/
For brites, go to Among Friends: http://www.amongfriendsquiltshop.com/ They have a ton of fabric plus quilt related gifts.
Those are the only 2 I have been too. Have fun!!

If you are going to be here July 22 & 23 there is a shop hop going on. There are 3 LQS in Louisville. Happy Heart (the oldest), Among Friends and Forget Me Knot. Just north of Louisville is The Quilting Bee in Edwardsville, In and Hollyhock in Coydon,In. And as QBee said, the Gathering Room in LaGrange, Ky. All nice shops, each with a different feel.

It is a little ways from Louisville but i love to go to Margie's Country Store in Madision, Indiana. They are always so helpful. I really love the sale aisle. Madison also has lots of little shops to visit. Have fun in my end of the country!

I have been to these 3 in Louisville, great shops!
Which one was it that had a wall of FQ's for $1 each? Do they still have them?

I also stopped in at the Smocking Shop, not a big selection, but some quilt fabrics, stabilizer, and other notions too. Great prices also :D:D:D

Thanks all! Sounds as though I will get to spend a little more on fabric this month! I am looking forward to going to Louisville. I have never been there before.
