I've always been curious about how this site started, who started it, and who our moderators are. Would you all share how you got involved with this site and what you enjoy most about it? I'm so grateful for having this place to get encouragement, instruction, friendship, and help. Thanks to you all!

I would also love to meet them! In person, and in my kitchen!

I happened upon this site by accident one day last winter. I enjoy it so much. It's like eaves dropping on the best conversations! I don't know much about what can and can't be said. I find the contributors to be tasteful and fun as all get out. I always learn something and see the most fantastic quilts imaginable. I do wish I knew the name and patterns of some of these fantastic avatar quilts. I love the show n tell too. I would post some if I didn't spend (waste?) so much time here and spent more time sewing! giggles!

i've started a few times to attempt compiling something to roughly outline our history. i think it would be a long and colorful story.

but i'm easily distracted by shiny objects and pretty fabrics.

I got on it after needing to know if I really should wash my quilt before I entered it in the fair. Everyone told me yes, I did. Got a blue ribbon, and love this site. It has been less that 2 months but I'm addicted. Couldn't get back to sleep, so am on hear at 3:45 AM! LOL
