Love those Civil War repros, 1930's repros, Batiks, etc. etc.

The Civil War repro fabrics thrill me, and are usually my favorites to work with.. BUT.. the 1930's repros are wonderful for making baby quilts and things more light hearted. And then my one granddaughter LOVES the Batiks, so of course I have to have lots of those around.

It would make things lots simpler if I could just stick with one category, but the wide assortment keeps me smiling and happy!

Any more QBers out there like me? And oh yes, I adore making the smaller quilts but occasionally make queen size ones for gifts..

I love just about all fabrics!! I just ordered some civil war prints from Beverly's in the special of the day. I have been collecting various brown, cream and navy pieces to make a lone star for my one daughter...Variety is what makes the world interesting

It's good to have a variety on hand in case you need to make something on short notice. I'm partial to batiks and
bright colors myself, which is pretty evident when looking at my stash. :)

I "inherited" my BFF's stash when she passed away and not a single bright color in the whole truck load. Just dark, drab fabrics - even what few batiks were in there, were dark ones. No 30's either. PS - she worked in a quilt shop!

There is an entire quilt shop here in my area with almost nothing BUT dark, gloomy repro-type fabrics LOL . Not even Aunt Grace / feedsack types of things.

I'm usually a bright, wild print or bright batik person, but so far the two quilts I've made for others (memorial gifts) were muted colors. And that was fine. I had to buy everything, nothing in my small stash that fit the design, but a person can always have fun expanding .... :)

I am so addicted to the 1930's reproduction fabrics! I love collecting new patterns when they come out, which seems to be less often lately. I like bright colors but am really drawn to pastels.

My favorites are the 20's and 30's fabrics and batiks. The Civil War fabrics are growing on my though! And florals, don't get me started on those! Guess I just have too many favorites!

I have made a few quilts with 30's and am done with them...me latest love is repo's...not sure if I will ever get tired of them...so many different possibilities...30's are just 30's...maybe I will make another some day, but probably not...gave away the rest of that fabric.

I love the 30's and pastels for all kinds of quilts. Just starting on CW, not crazy about batiks. Guess my choices are a throw back to doll clothes making days.

I love 30s and bright florals with a white background. There is a quilt in the connecting threads catalog that is pretty, with its white background and colorful blocks. I may have to make that one. I also love the civil war repro's, just not as much, and I do love batiks, but only certain patterns.
