I bought one at a Walmart nearby, returned it once, because something was wrong with it, then got a good one and had to return it. I do not recommend this machine. When I put the fabric through it, the fabric travelled all over the place, and would not cut a strip straight for the life of me. I recommend taking your $50 and buying some cute fabric with it.

Mine sits in the closet. I find it just as fast or faster using my rotary cutter.

I bought one made by Fiskars when I first began to make quilts because I was intimidated by the rotary cutter. Within a week, however, I discovered I could cut more quickly and ACCURATELY using my rotary cutter. The strip cutter was a total waste of money.

I have one, but I must confess I have had it for 2 years and never taken it out of the box....Sure looks good in my sewing cupboard though:)....

My Christmas present last year was an AccuquiltGo cutter which I am using constantly. While it was an expensive and the additional blades are not cheap either, if one plays with junk fabric?? one can make all kinds of shapes. My most beneficial is the 2-1/2 inch strip cutter which cuts three strips (from salage to salvage). Of course I double up two pieces of fabric at the same time and come up with 12 accurate strips. Waste I intentionally make at 1 inch and throw into scrap quilts. If I do not want strips, then I cross the strips vertically and cut 2-1/2 again, making perfect squares. (Hearsay is that those who have the BabyGo cutter have not been very pleased.)

It works great on coordinating fabrics. I go straight from cutter to the machine and it is done.

Of course, the best advantage is the fact that I have arthritis in my hands and this alleviates all that. Good luck in finding what you want.

I see it did not get great reviews. I think I will pass.

OK...Time for a new question. How many of you were responding about this one? It is definitely not the one I was asking about. If it is an electric one please let me know because I think the one I saw is electric. Thanks again.

Love, love, love my Accuquilt Studio for cutting everything including strips. Be careful....I've heard and read poor reviews on the Simplicity strip cutter.
