I want to machine emb a name several times on a fleece
blanket. What stabilizer would i use on the top and the bottom? It is 2 ply thick. |
I would use water soluble on top cut away on the bottom
|
I just did this for the first time last weekend, but I did it only on one thickness and put the stabilizer between the two layers, then tied the blanket. I used tear-away stablilizer.

I just did an embroidery design on a single layer of fleece that is a pattern piece for the front of a child's robe. I used a heavy tear away on the bottom and basted the fleece as the first step of the embroidery. I had no stretching at all. The fleece wasn't in my hoop, just laying on the stabilizer which was hooped. I was afraid hooping the fleece would make marks on the fabric. Everything worked wonderfully well. The design had 14,500 stitches. I used my large hoop but the design was just under 6 inches square.
