I am looking for recommendations for my just finished (double bed size) log cabin quilt. It is done in all reds and whites.

I enjoy feathers on a log cabin.

I think any curvy type lines enhance a quilt that is mostly squares/angular. Just a thought.:)

Does the design depend on how good a quilter you are? Curves are a good choice-a rope design in the light maybe; just about anything would go. You could quilt your name or someone's name. Another suggesion - large meander in the light or dark or curly-ques.

try googling log cabin quilts images. Most you can click on to get a closer view. I love to see how others quilt...fires up my ideas and off I go!

I've done SID, feathers, swirls, MacTavishing... it really depends on what you like.

I took this close-up picture of Judy Martin's Snake River quilt at Sisters several years ago. It looks like SID in the dark blocks and beautiful feathers in the light ones. I wish I could do work that lovely!

That's what I did on my log cabin wall hanging and I loved the look.
