Is there an online machine quilting video tutorial anyone can suggest?

I don't know of any, but I am sure someone else will Molly, so I am bumping up. I bought a book by Karen McTavish which had a DVD in the back. She uses a Long Arm, but it was enough for me to see how she did things, and adapt them to my Bernina.

If you google or search "machine quilting video" you should come up with many free videos on the net

The book was called Mastering the Art of McTavishing. It includes a 90 min. DVD, and has a short section on working with a domestic sewing machine and by hand. Some illustrations also include Trapunto
This was the result of my first effort at Trapunto & McTavishing. I do a lot of my practice on Project Linus quilts |
You can also google Penny Bubar, she's got some good stuff on U-Tube.

Here is a short video from a blog that I love. She has other tutorials, too. (I wish I could quilt as fast as this lady.) |
Can you have a defective "walking foot"? I have a Janome MC6500 and when I try to quilt with it the threads on the bottom side are so tight that they pucker and are almost impossible to remove. I used my old walking foot from my other Janome machine and it works fine. Has anyone had to return a walking foot?
