My current project called for over 100 flying geese. A friend went to a quilt show and saw this ruler. It's been great. I wanted to share this because I think it's a great investment and made making the flying geese much easier.
It's called Deb Tucker's Wing Clipper.

there are lots of sites with info on this ruler. for those not familiar, here is a link to a google search for this ruler http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&h...1l1l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=7d86af9665111856&biw=887&bih=459

Have you seen this video by Ricky Timms? It looks really quick and easy to do...maybe it will help you..

Good video.

It looks very interesting but I really prefer either Ricky Tims or Eleanor Burns methods. I don't have a problem making my flying geese without any specialized ruler.

This is the only way I make flying geese now http://www.patchpieces.com/files/flyinggeese.pdf No special ruler required!

I posted the above link a while ago when it was sent to me . I'm sure others had seen it before as well.
I use this method, but it was easier to use this ruler to ensure the 1/4" than my regular ruler. I've also tried the Eleanor Burns ruler, on loan from a friend , but with this you only need the one ruler.

I have tried Ricky's method and it is a bit bulky. I prefer the no waste method where you make 4 at a time.
