Lin, since June's link isn't working any longer, do you have a link to your pin cushions? Thanks!

Here are a couple of links I found while I was trying to find the one I had originally posted..

I had entered "teacup pincushion" and got this, which is entirely different but clever.

and then I found this:

The second is a bit different from the first. Does anyone else have the teacup pincushion pattern? It was originally on the Sew.What's.New site but it went off the internet. Don't know why. They had a lot of interesting things.

I'm sorry Chele, I don't have any links. I make them up myself from sugar bowls and I don't even have one that I can take a pic of to show you. :(

Thanks June!!

Wow! Those are fancy! I'll try the easier ones first! Thanks June and Lin!

Hi June:
i tried the website you listed and got "SecondWivesClub?" Nothing there about making pin cushions so I'm wondering if the wrong site was listed?

cute teacup pincushion instructions

june6995 11-05-2007 03:42 AM

Back in August when I posted that link, I thought it was working. It had come from a group known as Sew What's New from Yahoo, I believe.

I also have tried to use the link and it obviously has been taken down. I am sorry it no longer works. But there are others that were posted that will make a nice pincushion.

I was using it for reference to the filler. It is a teacup hot glued to the saucer and filled with steel wool (fine) and covered (by making a circle large enough to make a ball to sit on top. Then decoratios can be hot glued all around the edge to make it fancy.

Send me a PM or to [email protected] and I will try to get a copy of these instructions to you personally. (anyone who needs these may write.)

June

Ladies.....here is a new link for the very same pincushion I have told you about. Strange things happen. I misplaced my copy after digging it out last week to verify where I had found it. If you recall, the link lead to another site. I kept putting the word combinations into the search box and all of a sudden it popped up. This is the very same copy.

My plan was to use some velvet or velour on top and use some of the fancy beaded trims around the lip of the cup. I think they can be quite charming. I am so glad to have found it for all of you...and for myself.

Thank you, June. Your idea of doing it in velvet is a great one. Thanks for sharing.
