I did a search already, and couldn't find the answer I needed... I know a lot of you mark your quilt tops with painters tape to quilt diagonal lines. My question is, how do you do this around the safety pins? I tried it and couldn't get the tape to lay straight due to the pins... Am I supposed to take the pins out along the line first? I don't want to mess this up... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

YES YOU NEED TO REPOSITION THE PINS THAT WOULD BE IN THE WAY
|
I spray baste, so no safety pins.
|
You can reposition your pins any time, as long as you put the new pin in carefully first and then take the other pin out. :D:D:D

I do it the way amma says works fine!
|
I spray baste too, no safety pins to get in the way.

I do it amma's way too.

Move the pins first!

I spray baste so I don't have that problem. My sister pins and she just moved the pins.
