A friend of my daughter has asked if I will make a "Marriage Saver Quilt" for her. I've never heard this term before. Apparently, it is a quilt that has a light side and a warmer side. Do any of you have any more knowledge or directions for this before I make up my own?

Til you gave the further info ..... I had other thoughts!!!
And could only think .. You're joking! a quilt isn't going to save any marriage! :)

What you have described would seem as though you put a light/non-warm batting on one 1/2, and the other 1/2 you pile it thick with warmth!!

That could make for a thick/thin appearance. Also difference batts quilt up different for a different finished look.

Would flannelette and polar fleece be close to the same final look, yet give the different warmth levels?

I'm interested in this thread. I always pile on an extra blanket on my side, but then it shifts or falls off the bed.

The only thing I can think of, is a two in one quilt, where one side may have a double layer of batting, and the other only one. Maybe the one side is made of flannel too?

haha - a blanket that "Contains the same type of fabric used by the military to protect against chemical weapons."

What about "his and her" quilts. I have mine (2) and he has one.

When we recently went shopping for a new mattress, one store told us we could order one 1/2 firm and the other 1/2 soft. Could this be a marriage saver mattress? LOL
