I store mine flat with books on top of them.. and keep them away from heat.

Heat will warp your board. You should not iron on, leave in hot car, or in sun. I think I warped my 1st board along time ago and then kept it under some very heave objects to press it flat for a while. It is still usable.

Heat is the culprit and, probably, the fix. I found out that my desk lamp, one of those on a long adjustable arm, will warp my mat if I leave it on overnight!! In that case, turned off the lamp (duh!) and put a heavy pile of books on the mat. Fortunately, the mat unwarped after a couple of days. Good luck.
