How delightful to have met her, as a friend, and as a possible source of work! So....
Take a deep breath and remember to think of these things BEFORE you talk to her about working on anything for her.
1. Get it in writing.
2. Get a down payment up front to cover the cost of your supplies. (This way, if she reneges on the project, you will at least not be out the cost of the fabric/thread/batting.)
3. Agree how/and how quickly she will pay the balance when you are done.
4. Agree on a time line for the work and put it in writing.
5. Be sure to get all her contact information in case she does not return your emails or calls.

May you have the beginning of a good working relationship!:)

I'm with her. Hope it works out for you, though.
