Ive seen the wooden frames and I've seen the metal frames for long arm machines..

I was wondering which one do you have and why didnt you choose the other one, (besides the reason it came with your package)

Was there something that's better or worse on either frame?
Now that you have either one, would you have preferred another?

I was just wondering.. thanks for taking the time to reply..

I have a metal frame. I did come with my machine which is not setup yet. I have always preferred metal. I had a wood hand quilting frame and had problems with the wood teeth breaking or parts splintering. So with metal I won't have that. It will be interesting to hear what other thing.

i have the wooden Hinterberg stretch frame. it is VERY sturdy and i wouldn't [wooden't LOL] have any other frame.

I have a metal frame (Grace Pinnacle) and I like it. It is very sturdy.

I have a Tin Lizzie 18LS and it came with a Grace wooden frame made for the longarm. I find it to be very solid and it doesn't wobble at all. Some metal ones I have seen wiggle quite a bit. Also, I really like the looks of a wood frame, somehow it seems gentle or something. I think the frame is really nice.

I have A Tin Lizzie as well (I know it's an 18, not sure about the letters after it). It came with a metal Phoenix frame which I love, love, love. The guy who assembled it said the metal ones take about half the time of the old wooden ones. It's super easy to load the quilt, the machine slides wonderfully, and to advance it, you click 3 buttons and turn a crank, so super easy.

Plus, I don't have to worry about splinters :D
