Where can I buy Mettler cotton quilting thread for hand quilting?

My JoAnn's sells a very limited supply. I used to use Gutermann thread, but JoAnn's Gutermann thread is made in Mexico. And there are no quilting shops where I live. I don't use Coats and Clark and Sulky Blendables. Blendables shreds and Coats and Clark is worse.

Red Rock Threads carries it. It's a cotton covered poly thread, very strong. American and Elfird makes Mettler, Signature A&E, and Robinson-Anton, all nice threads.

I use mostly Signature A&E in my longarm machine quilting business, and I love the hand quilting thread that Signature A&E makes too. After a long day at the longarm quilting for clients, I like to settle in my cozy chair and hand quilt on my own work!

What's the problem with the thread being made in Mexico?

I read on this quilting board from other quilters that the quality of Gutermann has suffered since they moved their company to Mexico.
