Mettler thread??
 

Was looking for Mettler silk finish cotton thread online...found some on eBay for outrageous price. I'm talking about the big spools with 547 yards. So did an Internet search and found it at Jo-Ann's online at half price....$3.49 a spool! A 547 yard spool. This is the size that quit shops normally have for around $7.00. I need someone to verify that I'm seeing this right. I use Mettler for all my piecing and some quilting. But my Jo-Ann's has never carried it. Also did I see it on eBay for $17.00???

Yep, you're seeing it right. I love Mettler thread and have never seen it at Joann's before, but I just went to their site and lo and behold, there it is! And on a great sale to boot. So I'm off to stock up - thanks for the heads up!!

I love Mettler Thread - but due to the cost - I usually by the all cotton Coats and Clarks - the large spools - very linty but a little more affordable.

The Mettler that my LQS owner sells is 50 wt. And it's about $4.95. She's very reasonable. Not online though. Tried talking her into doing an online business on the side to perk up sales, but she said it would be too much work. She likes to quilt in her spare time. Don't blame her.
