This was possibly the best show I've been to. It was very well run! The people at the front table were fairly well organized and friendly! One of the things we noticed was the fun captioned awards on various quilts! The vendors booths were fun too! The number of people wandering through the hung quilts seemed to vary from time to time. It was not too crowded, and even the spectators were friendly!

Did you take any pictures of the quilts? What state was this show in??

What fun. I went to one in Mankato, MN this past weekend and they, too, were very organized and made it a lot of fun. Beautiful quilts and fun people running it. MN seems to do a great job of organizing their events such as shop hop (statewide) and quilts shows, etc.

Hi Carol - I helped hang quilts for that show all day yesterday. It's a lot of work to put on a show, and I think the ladies who organized it did a great job.

crafthbear - the guild meets in Salem, Oregon, but the show is at the fairgrounds in Rickreall. I took bunches of pictures yesterday after the quilts were hung (much easier to do before the crowds come on opening day) but I haven't downloaded them yet.

JoAnn took a few pictures also. We really had a great time! There will probably be quite a few people there tomorrow, but Thursday was a great day to see the show (not crowded). We also both made a few purchases. I bought a couple of printed children's books and a pattern for a teapot cozy. The food was great too! We both indulged in pie (Coconut cream for JoAnn and Raspberry for me.) :-)

It sounds like you took quite a few pictures, Linda! That would be great if you can share!
