I have all the binding on and have the folded pleats at the corners. Am I suppose tosew down the pleated part next to the quilt before I turn the binding to the back of the quilt. I hope I ask this question correct. I was following a book and it was not saying to do that. Thanks

I only fold my corners, but some do go back after and sew the diagonal lines closed for a neater look. When you fold the binding to the back you have to fold the corners in on the back, too. Hope that I answered your question. Go to search and look for a tutorial on mitered corners. Maybe you will find something helpful.

pull binding to back and pin so it covers stitch line. Sew corners as you get to them.
It might help you to "Search binding and see if you can find a tutorial that will be helpful

Ah, sorry to hear you are frogging, "ripp it, rip it". We've all been there.
There is a great Youtube video on binding by Sharon Schamber. I love her vids.

Tahnks everyone I did not do a 45 degree angle, It was more like a pleat. It was not correct. I'll get it sooner or later. I won't quit until I get it correct.

I saw a tute somewhere about mitred corners and she had the fold facing one way on the front and then the other way on the back. So when you looked at it you could only see one opening. I tried it and it is much neater. She said something about it not to look like nostrils. Hope this makes sense
