If anyone has used Minkey for a baby quilt backing please tell me your experience. Thank you

I have used minky fabric a couple times along with other blush type fabrics. My best advice, make sure fabric and BATTING if using cotton is all preshrunk. If you do not preshrink fabric and batting it will shrink once the quilt is washed however the minkey which is a poly fabric will NOT and your back will be baggy. Another thing is if your not going to free motion quilt it or quilt it with a long arm you HAVE to use a walking foot. You need to use a walking foot ANY time this fabric is going through your machine.

Keep the vacuum cleaner handy because this stuff gets fluff everywhere and it is craziness to try sweeping it with a broom just suck it up!

I have used minkey for backing and it makes a very soft backing I would make backing wide enough to roll under for binding on front or use different binding it is very thick otherwise. Pin very well or use basting spray for quilting, fabric wants to move around because of polyester. Hope this helps ,my grandson loves his quilt.

Just finished a baby quilt for my niece, used the minkey for backing. I also used flannel for batting, and the whole thing came out beautiful! Very happy with the results!
