Mistyfuse and dark fabrics

Just purchased Mistyfuse. The pencil method for tracing is fine for light fabrics but am having trouble with dark fabrics. Have tried many methods but nothing seems to transfer.

You can trace your design on freezer paper, cut the freezer paper along the lines, press to the fabric, and cut around the freezer paper.

To make multiple freezer paper templates quickly, make one tracing, then layer this on top of up to 5 additional pieces of freezer paper, use iron to seal the edges, then cut around the tracing.

Does Mistyfuse have the paper backing like Wonderunder? I just use a pencil on the paperback of Wonderunder and draw the design backwards to get it ready to cut out and fuse to the back of the fabric.

MistyFuse does not have a paper backing. It's just a very thin sheet of fusible net. Its advantage is that it does not change the hand of the fabric, so appliques stay nice and soft.

You can also add paper backing to Misty Fuse by pressing it onto parchment paper (or a sheet of Wonder Under release paper). It'll peel off after fusing like any other paper backed web.
