Does anyone have a link for how do do mitered corners? I will be hand sewing if that makes a difference.

Or if someone has the patience to explain it here that would be great too!!

THANKS!!

Try the link above if you're looking for video instructions to do a flat mitered corner.

Hope this is what you are looking for,

That website only shows 2 minutes of the process and stops before the first corner is turned. How do you get to the rest of the video?

I really learned a lot from this tutorial set:

Brightcove and allpeoplequilt both have a lot of good quilting tutorials. On the brightcove site you put quilting tips in the search box and it'll take you where you want to go.

Try QuiltersTV, they have all kinds of full lenght videos.
I have seen El Burns do mitre corners and it is pretty simple but you will need extra fabric. Its to hard to explain, you do need to watch it.
If you are doing binding its a different process than borders.
I just watched her videos doing a jewel box quilt. At the end of part 2 she does a binding.
Its in the series of the week to the right side of the screen.

That method is way to complicated, no thanks, I will stick with El Burns way. No extra folds, no cutting thread. You just sew to 1/4 in from the corner turn the quilt then backstich off to batting, raise the needle do the fold then continue stiching. Works perfect.
She has a demo on the website. Quilt In A Day. In the upper right corner is the search button, put in video, that takes you to a screen with a menu on the left, click on television and video.
