Hello everyone, I am looking for the Morning Star pattern. Does anyone have the pattern that you could share with me or know where I can find the pattern. I have a picture of it in an old magazine, but no pattern, and I want to make this block if I can find the pattern. Thanks in advance to all of you.

Grannyp: I just finished a quilt called Evening Star. I got the pattern from Clothilde.com. They seem to have the older patterns so they might have the one you're looking for. Hmm-wonder what the difference is between Morning Star and Evening Star? Maybe it's just the colors so I hope this helps in what you're looking for.

Do you have a picture of the one you are looking for? or maybe some description?

grannyp, I just tried to look at that free pattern at p&b textiles but I couldn't get the pdf file. The area where you click to get the file didn't work. Not sure if it's just my computer or if the pattern is no longer available.

No that isn't the pattern I am looking for. The picture of the one that I am looking for has 23 triangles around it with 8 small squares set around them and a 8-pointed star in the middle, with triangles on each corner. This picture is in an old quilt book from GoodHousekeeping back in 1965, my elderly aunt sent this to me a few weeks ago, but it doesn't have the pattern, so I don't know how much fabric, or how many pieces to cut and how to put it together.
Thanks for your help anyway, sure do apperciate it very much.

Grannyp70 - if you can't find the pattern and you have a good picture then maybe you could use graph paper and make your own, or if you have an EQ program you could do it on the computer. I've made many patterns this way, just takes a little time, but you get exactly what you're looking for. :) Hope you find it, now I'm curious.
