mountain mist patterns
Hello this is the first time I have ever ventured out to ask a question, I have commented a few times on different things and I just love this board, that being said, my question is I have a friend who would like to make a Martha's vineyard quilt. Her DH grandmother made one and she has it and would like to make one during her lifetime she's 73. I have searched it on this site and the internet and can't come up with it. It may be in a book but would really like to purchase just the pattern, any ideas as to where would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you could email or call the Mountain Mist company http://www.mountainmist.com/page.php?id=28
It is a gorgeous quilt! When I did a google search, it came up with the name "Grapes and Vines" quilt also. Still not a lot of information out there. Good luck in your search! |
I somehow remember that there was a collection of Mountain Mist patterns put out a few years ago. I think it was an anniversary event type thing.

The Fabric Shack supposedly sells all the Mountain Mist patterns, after the company no longer included them on the wrapper. I haven't looked there, but their website is www.fabricshack.com

Amazon lists the book "Quilt Favorites": http://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Mist-.../dp/084871668X
and "The Blue Book of Quilts" http://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Mist-.../dp/0965212203 there isn't a Table of Contents for either book; you'd need to delve further!! |

http://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Mist-...7967507&sr=1-1 Looks like both these books have the pattern (from what I cna tell) - maybe you can see if the library has them. Good luck. |
I can confirm that Martha's Vineyard is in the Quilt Favorites -- I just bought the book a couple of weeks ago at Savers of all places. Message me if you don't find a copy of it.
