I am moving to the Atlanta area (Cobb County) the end of the month and am looking for a great place to buy fabrics ... I am sure there are many places, but here is the real question: I currently live in Maine and shop at Marden's for a lot of my fabric ... it is a discount house that buys odd lots, over runs and last year's fabrics...so it is greatly reduced. I bought Marcus Old Sturbridge Village fabrics for $2.69 a yard .... is there anyplace like that in the Atlanta area?

Sorry can't help you on the fabric shopping...I've been there a few times to visit my sister in Marietta/Roswell area, but I don't remember seeing any shops by her.

Rest assured you won't find fabric for those prices anywhere in the Atlanta area. We do have several wonderful quilt shops in the area, but you will pay dearly for fabric. I'm fortunate to have a large stash (acquired locally) and it's becoming more precious each day.
Let me now when you get here. I'll take you on a shop hop!
