I want to make my DH a quilt. He is Alumni from Michigan State University. I need help finding a pattern or a web site that I might use to Incoperate Spartie into my design. Any help will be appreciated.

Did you go to the MSU website? They should have pictures of the stuff you're looking for.

MSU has a clip art page that alum can access. Be aware that Sparty is copyright protected and licensed to boot so there are 'rules' involved with simply tracing him for something. I'm the mother, sister-in-law, aunt, and ex-wife of MSU grads, so forgive me when I warn you that Sparty is spelled with a Y and not and IE. Some things are just too important to spell wrong! *giggle*

Have you tried www.quiltshops.com?

I'm pretty sure they have MSU fabric. Most of the universities do. Just doing a quick Google search, I found this store that has MSU fabric:

bear paw fabrics carries TONS of licensed fabrics including most of the big colleges and sports teams, you can find msu fabrics there...my dh and i both went to msu, and the family i work for are 5 generations of msu alumni :) i've been trying to find an msu shower curtain and am starting to think i'm going to have to make one, post pictures when you get going so we can see what you came up with.

Thanks all for your ideas for fabric. I have fabric, what I am needing is a pattern or ideas for the project.

Two possibilities: 1) use the Michigan state block (as opposed to the Michigan State block :-D ) in green and white for the quilt pattern http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art10206.asp
or 2) contact the Quilt Center at MSU, tell them your plan, and see if they have any suggestions for you http://museum.msu.edu/glqc/
