Muslin question.
 

Some one posted an idea how to prevent using the wrong side of white fabric, but does muslin have a right and wrong side? Because I honestly cannot tell by touch or looking at it.

Using both sides of the fabric is becoming more and more popular. If -- like with batiks -- you can't tell, don't worry about it. I usually try to find the original fold line as a key to the top.

I've never noticed muslin having a right or wrong side.
I often use either side of a print fabric, especially if I'm looking for a more muted look. After all, I PAID for both sides!

Muslin, like solids, plaids and other woven patterns, does not have a right and wrong side, no. The color, or lack of it, is in the threads, not printed on the surface.

Seriously... White has a right side? I may have messed up every other quilt I have made. Oh well. Other than loving th look of solid white and batiks, I also love the fact ther there was no wrong side.

LOL No, white on white has a right side because it's white ink printed on (one side of) white fabric. Plain ol' white solids don't have a right and wrong side. You're fine. :)

I'm of the belief that every fabric has a right and wrong side. Right side is the smoother side and you can usually feel it or see the threads are rougher looking on the wrong side. Do whatever works for you.

after i wash my white muslin, i have no idea which is "right" and which is the "wrong" side. i figure if i can't tell the difference, how is anybody else gonna tell after it's been quilted? i don't worry about it.
