I've had my featherweight for a few years, and I never knew how old it is. I never really thought about untill I see on the board everyone wants to know the birthdate. How do you find the year on the machine ? I have looked but see nothing.

I don't know, but have to say I love the location shown in your avatar (smile). Looks so calming and fun.

The serial number is in the area down by the bobbin. Go to the Singer web site and you can look up
the number there and it will tell you when and where it was manufactured.

You can look it up on the Singer website using the serial number on the machine. Forget where it is located on the FW, I think under the top somewhere. Should be 2 letters and some numbers. They recently moved the link. I think it is this one.
