There must be a simple fix for this. My foot pedal is in a different place every time I go back to it for a few more stitches. I have checked underneath but don'.t see any little feet. It's driving me crazy!

Should I get a dish mat or some other rubber mat to put underneath? The surface below is low carpet, so I am sure that's contributing to the movement.

Let me know if you have ideas for an easy / cheap fix.

thanks!

I use a piece of the stuff (no idea what it is really called)that you put under throw rugs to keep them in place. I have a wood floor and the controller stays where I want it.

That bumpy shelf liner or a piece of rubber helps a lot to keep the pedal in place :D:D:D

Yes, what they said. Or, you can buy a slanted door stopper at the dollar store and put that behind the pedal to keep it from running away.

Double sided carpet tape works. I tried the rubber shelf liner, but on wood floor it didn't work. There is also a thing called Pedal Pad that you can buy from Connecting Thread that is slightly sticky and works. Ask me how I know?

You talk like I do: "Piece of the stuff". To technical for many.

I tried everything, including the "Stitch-Ez" from one of the quilt sites. I finally tried a floor mat (back seat) of a previous car and it works - no more moving of the foot pedal. The mat is made of a heavy, thick rubber material.

I read somewhere that you can use one of them slider things for furniture , turn it up side down and not sure if you taped it to that or what .

I use a silicone hotpad. Only cost a couple of bucks and works great on carpet.

I put the rough, pokey side of velcro tape on the bottom of mine. It sticks to the carpet!
