I have been a member for a while but mostly a lurker :) BUT I have a new baby! It's a Janome MC300E machine! (pic comes tomorrow) I have been trying to d/l designs to my sandisk PC card from my computer so i can have more designs. Unfortunately, my comput doesnt recognize the JEF files. Does anyone know what i can do or is there something i need to download from somewhere that will support this?

I love this board! It is wonderful and have found quite a bit of info already Please help! or at least direct me in the right directions so i can play!

Thank! :)

you need to have embroidery software of some sort to open the designs on your computer, or to manipulate them. You can transfer the designs to the embroidery machine, and it will open the design, so you can see it on the embroidery machine's screen.

I have a Janome. Have you tried their website. Also, do you have easy import or janome customizer? They will get the designs on your machine for you.

Embird has a 30 day free trial for their software. You can change format to jef with it.

Have fun!

Embird! Embird! Embird!
It is the most reasonably priced software out there, easy to use, and you can convert from one format to another in the push of a button. There are wonderful Yahoo groups to support the software (I belong to AbsolutelyEmbird) and the really nice thing is you purchase just the modules that you are ready to use. I have never done any digitizing so don't need that part of the software but Embird Manager does everything I think I will ever need. It allows you to edit and combine designs and a whole lot more. Have fun with it! You can add other modules as you need them. Ann in TN
