I was shopping on line at Jo anns and saw a 20in sq. ruler.on sale. Well I bought it , it was a very good deal. It was delivered last evening and let me say it is huge. I am now wondering just what I will ever use it for.Talk about a large sq. quilt. lol
pickle  |
I have one and I use it a lot more than I thought I would. It's great for tee-shirt quilts and larger blocks that need to be squared up. I place a little piec of masking tape on the measurment that I want the block to be. I am amazed at how often I use it. You were lucky and got yours on sale. I paid full price at the LQS and I don't regret the purchase.

I have that ruler, as well. I don't need it often, when I do, I'm glad I have it. If you ever have to square up a large block, you will use it.

I always use my large square ruler when squaring up my quilts.

I've got one and LOVE it! It's especially helpful when making larger blocks like the ones I used for my GGDs's quilts. I'm even searching for a bigger one.

I love my bigger ones too. I use it to square things up and cut out large blocks and center them too!

When I'm working with larger blocks or squaring quilts, I use the Salem 24" folding ruler. http://www.checkerdist.com/products/notions/?v=S060 (I KNOW I didn't pay that much...it was under $30 so look around. I just wanted to provide a picture). The great thing about it is that it doesn't take up space at all, and is very portable. |
