This is the first time to use it. I was quilting a flannel baby quilt and it was working just fine. I was just making straight lines and then all of a sudden my needle won't go all the way down in the shaft, just part of the way. I can't see it hitting anything. So tear the bobbin area apart to see if something is stuck in there and there is nothing. I tried moving the needle up and down and the arm of the foot comes off the needle clamp. I won't tell you what I sad. So I am looking at the walking foot and a little tiny piece of plastic has broke off that holds the foot the bar of the machine. I wanted to cry because this if my first time to use it and it was working so nicely.
Has anybody else had theirs break like this?

Did you have it connected correctly ? That is the only thing I can think of .

Some the arm of the walking foot goes over the top of the square ( just rests on top) Others it goes on the screw, where the screw is in the middle of the fork.

Mine went on the screw where the screw was in the middle. I followed the directions very carefully. It sewed good for a while then all of a sudden broke.

Is there any way to glue that piece of plastic back on?

 nope I don't think so. I will figure something out. Right now I just don't want to even look at my machine. I'm just so disappointed. The way I'm feeling you would think somebody done stole my favorite toy and broke it.

Same thing happened to me several yrs. ago. I paid $50.00 for that foot. I have a Kenmore. I bought it at a Quilt, sewing machine shop in WestPalm Beach, FL. as I lived there at that time. Mine broke in the same place. Because of the kind of plastic you couldn't glue it. My husband who is a DIY can do things I wouldn't even attempt. made me another piece out of metal. It worked very well but,I ordered a new one from Sears For a lot less. Used the repaired one until I got the new one. Still have it and It works fine. Sorry it broke if it was fairly new I would ask for a replacement. BillsBonBon
