Can someone please tell me the name of the block on this quilt? Its so pretty and looks fairly easy. Is it free (pattern) somewhere online?

it looks like just squares and the 'design' is in the sashing which is two strips and 4 square blocks

Sorry Bev, don't know the name. But it's cute. Did you want to recreate it? I can play around with some graph paper and try to figure out the dimensions if you'd like? I'm not always accurate though and have to adapt as I sew along...(small disclaimer there..you know us lawyers!!!)

Bev,
Even though the cornerstones are a four patch, you can use this pattern to draft up what you want to make. Just make the finished sized middle block one square and the cornerstones a four patch the size of the single block. Does that make sense? It at least gives you dimensions to go with. |
Bev, it looks just like a block, whatever size you want to make it.
Then take sashing, whatever width you want. Cut 2. Then cut 4 squares the size (squared) of the sashing. Meaning, if your sashing is 2 inches, then cut your 4 squares 2 inches each. Make a 4 patch out of your 4 squares, sew 2 sashings together, then sew them onto the block top. Sew 2 more sashings together to make 2 more sets...WITHOUT the 4 patch. Sew those to top and bottom of square. Then sew sashing with 4 patch on the sides. Have I lost you yet? |
true. thanks. i'll play with it

Or, instead of making the 4 patch, just have your middle square, then your sashing with the corner stones. Then, once you put it together, you'll have the same thing as in the picture. Might be a better way.
In fact, I think it is a better way... |
Bevanger this block is puss in the corner is this the idea? I did this with quilt wizard,

HMM don't know if that will work it may be the whole program looks like once it opens you have to click on layout and then blocks at the top- It might let you play. I didn't mean for it to download anything but the picture...

Just checked in since yesterday and see you got the pattern. I'm not going to do my graph paper since you have the layout, ok?
